The Anglican Parish of Golden Bay is a community of believers committed to following Jesus – sharing the good news of salvation through word and deed.
We are blessed with two historic churches: the Church of the Epiphany in Tākaka and St Cuthbert's in Collingwood. Each of these churches has a rich history and serves as a spiritual home for our congregation and the wider community.
Our Services
Our worship services blend informal, warm fellowship with time-honoured traditions. With a mix of hymns and contemporary songs, Christ-centred preaching and creative children’s programmes, our gatherings are designed to inspire and engage people of all ages.
Our services and fellowship gatherings offer a blend of tradition and informality, making space for everyone to encounter God in a meaningful way. We are particularly blessed by the leadership of our new vicar Rev Mark Johnson (Feb 2025) and our wardens, Brandon Sparrow and Mary Ann Tait.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to live out the teachings of Jesus by loving God, loving our neighbours, and caring for the world around us. We strive to be a community where everyone feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in their faith.
We believe that the church is not just a building but a living community, called to serve one another and those in need. Through our regular services, fellowship gatherings, community outreach, and pastoral care, we aim to reflect Christ’s love in all that we do.
